Abstract

In June 2007, at the Annual General Meeting in Mexico City, IASPM discussed and approved the creation of an online journal with the aim of offering an alternative to recognized academic journals, as practical confirmation that the organization is a truly international forum for disseminating research, knowledge and reflection on popular music. Thus IASPM@Journal was born. We are an academic journal that aims to reflect the values of IASPM: internationalization, multiculturalism, multilingualism, open to dialogue as the prerequisites for knowledge. IASPM@Journal is a peer-reviewed journal of multilingual studies offering an interdisciplinary approach to studies of popular music.
